Dane Gus Hansen didn’t have the best year of
his career in 2009 having lost more than
$5.5 million online. And, according to The
Great Danes blog (in the national
newspaper EkstraBladet) changes are on
their way as he has made four resolutions for 2010.
He aims to continue the good run he is having at
live events and to take regular breaks from online
poker to make time for analysing sessions. He has
also pledged to avoid Facebook and email while
playing the $500/$1,000 tables and lastly to stop
sports betting after he lost a fortune on the French
Open.
It appears that he is already reaping the rewards
as he is up over $200,000 online.
The Swedish high stakes mystery man Isildur1 was a
force on the online tables until he ran into Brian
Hastings. Apparently he has left the nosebleed tables
and only made some few appearances on the lower
stakes since his meltdown. But maybe his route back
to Ivey, Antonius and Durrrr doesn't mean hours of
grinding as many online poker sites see Isildur1 as a
dream signing.

Lars Kollind of Poker Icons told Swedish
newspaper Expressen that he thinks it would be
similar to the signing of new world champion Joe
Cada. He underlines it would be perfect for a sponsor
to work with Isildur1 as he is already in all the poker
media across the world. In other words there is
potential big money for Isildur1 to pick up some cash
to get him back to the nosebleed stakes. There is just
one hurdle - the Swede has to give up his anonymity.

Jonas 'Nebuchad' Danielsson is done with poker.
He writes on his blog that it is like a bonfire that has
burned all night. One might get a single flame to burn
again, but only for a short while. He has told his
friends to keep an eye on him, so that he won’t start
grinding the lower stakes or something like that.
Nebuchad writes that he has earned enough
money on poker, so he doesn't have to work for his
entire life. He has long been one of the most
respected heads up players in the world and online alone he has won over $1 million.
