Tournaments that fall in to the following criteria will be considered ranking tournaments:
- A tournament must consist of at least three events spread over no fewer than three days.
- Tournaments must be open to anyone to enter and not restricted in any way.
- The minimum buy-in must be Euro 100.
- Tournaments may be freezeouts or have rebuys and/or add-ons.
- Team events, pairs events or similar will not qualify for ranking status.
- Tournaments which do not meet the above criteria but have large prize pools will be regarded as special events and may be given ranking status.
- Dealers must be provided for all tables.
